At the heart of Vision Nest is Dr. Jyoti Gangta — a name synonymous with advanced eye care, clinical excellence, and a deep love for her roots. Dr. Gangta is a trailblazer in the field of optometry, being the first Doctorate-holder in Optometry in Himachal Pradesh. She holds a PhD in Optometry, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (USA), and an active member of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (USA) prestigious milestones that mark her global standing. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Optometry from Chitkara University, Punjab, in academic collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital, India. Her thirst for knowledge and clinical excellence led her to earn a Doctorate in Optometry, a rare distinction held by few across India.

Dr. Gangta has dedicated over 8 years as a consultant optometrist and vision therapist at the renowned Tenzin Eye Centre, Shimla, a visionary setup developed with support from US-based Bernell. She also served as an Assistant Professor at GD Goenka University, contributing to the academic growth of young optometrists. But her true passion has always been the clinic — especially in the areas of vision therapy, neuro-vision rehabilitation, and myopia management. Her hands-on, patient-centered approach is what sets her apart. She chose to return to full-time clinical practice with one clear mission: to bring world-class vision care home to Himachal.

Raised in Shimla, Dr. Gangta always dreamed of giving back to her community. With Vision Nest, she fulfills that dream — creating the only dedicated vision therapy and specialty optometry clinic in the region. The clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools and personalized care systems for all ages, from children with developmental visual issues to adults with neurological visual impairments. Beyond her clinical excellence, she has led numerous community eye camps across Punjab, Bangalore, Gujarat, Haryana, and now focuses her energy on expanding community outreach in Himachal Pradesh.
